Molly

Cocker Spaniel · Female · Adult · 6 years

12-08-26 Molly is an anxious lady who has come into our care from a breeder in the hope of a fresh start. She is very worried about handling at the moment and won't even eat if we are watching her. Molly prefers to stay at the back of her kennel and is still unsure of our intentions. She doesn't yet understand that we are here to help her, so we will be giving her plenty of time and space to settle and learn that she is safe. Molly relies heavily on the other dogs for company and comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Molly has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and allow her to take things at her own pace. Molly has arrived overweight, so she will need a good diet and gentle exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. This will need to be continued in her new home. Molly is a very worried girl right now, but we hope that with time, patience and the support of a kind canine friend, she will begin to feel safe and show us the sweet girl hiding underneath all those nerves. She is currently being treated for a severe ear infection Molly has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Molly

What life with Molly looks like

Molly is a adult cocker spaniel dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Molly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Molly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Molly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Molly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Molly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Molly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Molly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
