Molly

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Molly has found a new home! Her story: Life can play tricks, and the family's circumstances have drastically changed, so Molly can no longer stay. Molly is now 3 years old, 40 cm tall, and weighs 22 kg. She is a little gold treasure and accustomed to family life. With Molly, one can steal horses. She loves people, children, knows cats, can be left alone, travels comfortably by car, is always with her people, and shows no fears in everyday life. When she wants her peace, she simply goes to her dog bed. Otherwise, Molly is simply very cuddly and loving, in short, a true treasure. She can initially be shy towards unfamiliar animals, but warms up quickly and likes to play when she knows the dogs. Even in unfamiliar situations, she may react insecurely, but with her people, whom she trusts, she overcomes this very quickly. We wish for Molly a friendly, loving, and patient environment, preferably in a family. Children should, however, know the responsible and respectful way to handle a dog and be able to leave her alone if she wants to. In the initial phase, where everything is new and unfamiliar, one should give her ample time for adjustment. A sufficiently fenced garden for playing and running would of course be paradise for Molly, but it is not a must. Molly is neutered and, of course, microchipped and vaccinated when she moves into her new home. She will of course bring her EU pet passport with her after positive Molly. Have you fallen in love with Molly? Many thanks Marleen M.! You have given Molly her name! Date: 11.09.

Verlierst du dein Herz an Molly? Vielen Dank Marleen M.! Du hast Molly ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 11.09.2024

About Molly

What life with Molly looks like

Molly is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Molly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Molly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Molly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Molly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Molly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Molly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Molly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
