Moni

European Shorthair · Female · Senior · 11 years

MONI is an extremely active cat who becomes very cuddly once she gets to know her owners better. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to tolerate conventional cat food, as it causes her persistent diarrhea.

FR·Show original

MONI est une chatte extrêmement active et très câline dès qu’elle apprend à mieux connaître ses maîtres. Malheureusement, elle ne semble pas tolérer la nourriture pour chat classique, car celle-ci lui provoque une diarrhée persistante.

About Moni

What life with Moni looks like

Moni is a senior european shorthair cat waiting at Déierenasyl Luxembourg in Gasperich, Luxembourg City.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇱🇺Adopting from Luxembourg

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Déierenasyl Luxembourg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Déierenasyl Luxembourg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Déierenasyl Luxembourg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
