Special features: Monty, born on 30.01.2016, is a real ray of sunshine at first glance: friendly to people – whether familiar or strangers – open, curious, and always eager to be in the middle of things. He loves going for walks, has no problem with car rides, and can reliably handle being left alone. At home, he is mostly calm, sleeps a lot, and seems balanced. However, Monty is not just the charming Beagle next door – he also comes with his own set of challenges: he has a strong resource guarding behavior, displays predatory aggression, and reacts to stressful moments with over-the-top actions. Anything that moves quickly – other dogs, cars, motorcycles – is loudly commented on and sometimes aggressively pestered by him. Whoever takes in Monty must be aware that wearing a muzzle around the clock in the beginning is a must. When Monty loses control and wants to injure, he can hit very hard and cause serious injuries. A clear, consistent leadership and a structured daily routine are therefore essential for him. Monty is definitely a solitary dog and will not be rehomed with small children. We are looking for a home with a garden where he can settle in and is not constantly exposed to stimuli.
