Moonpie

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Moonpie was found as a stray and first had to be vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Unfortunately, the handsome white rabbit is not missed by anyone... Now a new chapter begins for him, and he gets a fresh start in a new home with responsible owners. Due to his unknown origin, we unfortunately don't know anything about him—nor his age. Currently, he's living in an enclosure with Daisy, as both rabbits are suffering from rabbit snuffles. The two get along well and would be ideal as a pair. If that sounds like a good match for you, please send us an email with details about your current rabbit-keeping setup, including relevant photos. Do you not yet have an enclosure and are planning to start keeping rabbits? We're happy to provide advice and tips on this topic as well and will answer any questions you may have. We'd be delighted to arrange a visit and show you our rabbits, as well as possible enclosure options and furnishing ideas.

About Moonpie

What life with Moonpie looks like

Moonpie is a small adult mixed breed animal waiting at Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. in Minden.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Moonpie far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moonpie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moonpie?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moonpie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moonpie if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Moonpie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. directly what is included and what Moonpie still needs.
What happens if Moonpie isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Minden e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moonpie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
