Morani

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 7 months

Morani (born 03/2026) is an active, playful puppy who loves his humans and enjoys spending time with them. He is eager to learn and enjoys doing things together. He already knows the basic commands: sit, stay, stay still, and fetch. He is also house trained and walks nicely on a leash for his age. He loves nature walks and is comfortable traveling in the car trunk. He can handle being alone, but it's best if he's not left alone for too long. Morani is friendly and open to strangers. However, in his current puberty phase, he also shows his own ideas about how things should be done. He likes to test boundaries, has a stubborn streak sometimes, and can get overwhelmed by too many stimuli. As Morani is a mixed breed, there is a possibility that he has a certain predisposition to hunting. He doesn't really get along with some other dogs. He decides whether he likes someone based on his sympathy. He can be stubborn during encounters and needs good guidance and management. A home as a single prince would be ideal. Morani has many great qualities, but he is not a typical beginner dog. He needs people who can lead him confidently, consistently, and fairly and enjoy working with him. Attending a good dog school is essential. Although Morani has already learned a lot, he still needs education, clear rules, and support to control his impulses and find calm. Children in the household are generally possible. However, due to his temperament, we see him more with families with older children from about ten years old who already know how to respectfully interact with dogs. Responsible management and adult supervision are a must. Morani is a young dog with many good qualities who can bring a lot of joy to his humans. At the same time, it's essential to be aware that his development still requires time, patience, and consistent guidance. Those who are willing to take on this task and give him the necessary orientation can grow into a great team with Morani. Morani is vaccinated and microchipped and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive preliminary check. Due to his age, he is not neutered. Wearing a safety harness is necessary when picking up the female dog. A 3-point safety harness can be purchased for only 25 €.

Morani (geb.

About Morani

What life with Morani looks like

Morani is a puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Morani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Morani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Morani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Morani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Morani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Morani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Morani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
