Móre mama

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 11 years

Originally entered: 11/26/2017. More mama and her puppies were taken into care in 2017 by the Noé Animal Shelter with the help of Füzesabony animal welfare workers and volunteers, coming from terrible conditions. The small dog-like Móre mama was tied up to a chain, barely resembling a doghouse, and her three tiny babies wandered around in the mud, cold and wet. More mama's happy life came to an end after 8 years when she was brought back because her owner was no longer able to care for her due to a long-term serious illness. Sweetie is no longer young, born in 2014, a kind old lady. We found out by chance that she had a companion (Bodo), who was taken to Illatos. Because the lady had taken him from there. The two old ones lost their owner and each other... everything they had. Quick organization, calling, and we immediately went to get Bodo. We would like to find a home for this sweet elderly couple! They still have many wonderful years left. They definitely deserve to live in a loving family for the rest of their lives. More mama is microchipped and neutered, and can be adopted as a family member. September: Additional pictures HERE!

About Móre mama

What life with Móre mama looks like

Móre mama is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Móre mama, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Móre mama?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Móre mama on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Móre mama if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Móre mama already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Móre mama isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Móre mama and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
