Moro

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Moro and his brothers Modi and Mokka came to the foundation from a stable in Modlniczka, Moro and Modi currently live in a temporary home, where they are waiting for adoption. Moro is a small, friendly kitten. He loves play - he plays independently or with his brother Modi in chases and tussles as well as with the caregiver. Recently, he loves running after a string. He needs some time to get used to people, but then he is very trusting. He loves being held and cuddling with the caregiver in the morning. He is affectionate, well-socialized with people and cats. Moro is also an born hunter and explorer - he will go into any hole and jump on any shelf. He likes spending time on the balcony watching birds and insects. Among his brothers, he is the one who squishes the soft fabrics, because he loves squishing soft fabrics. He has bonded with his brother, so it would be good if Moro was adopted in a pair with Modi, but he can also be adopted into a quiet home as a single cat or into another calm cat. We are looking for a non-exiting, loving, safe home for Moro, with a secured balcony (if there is one) and/or windows, which will surround him with the best care. WARNING!

UWAGA! About Moro

What life with Moro looks like

Moro is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
