Adopt Motya (Мотя)

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

🏡Looking for home 🏡 They were frozen in the pile of trash, but chose life... This is a story about human cruelty, maternal loyalty and a miracle that happened thanks to compassion. ❄️ Rescue operation at -18°C They were left like unwanted things in a pile of old junk in the yard. The mother dog, herself hungry and scared, did her best to take care of her children: she carried dry bread in her mouth, trying to warm them with her body in the freezing cold. When they came to take them, it was a terrible frost outside. We had to climb through the fence in the dark, as there was no help coming. The puppies cried from fear, the mother ran in panic, and we didn't feel our hands or feet from the cold. The price of this rescue - our pain: One puppy we found already dead... frozen🥺😭 Another girl, the weakest, died in the adoption center from severe pneumonia, despite all our efforts and treatment.😥😭 The last, sixth baby, we searched for half an hour in the dark among the junk - it was sitting quietly, not even having the strength to squeak. But in vain! We went again to take it, because there was only one left - alone in the pile of junk. ✨ Five survived! Now these little ones are safe. They have warmed up, learned to trust people again and are very waiting for their family. ✔ Who they are: 2 boys and 3 girls. ✔ Age: 3 months. ✔ How they will grow: They will be small, with short legs (perfect for an apartment or a cozy yard). ✔ Character: Happy, yappy, real "bells" and loyal friends. ✅ The little ones have already been treated for parasites and vaccinated. 📞 Call now directly:

About Motya (Мотя)

What life with Motya (Мотя) looks like

Motya (Мотя) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Kirovohrad in Ukraine.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Motya (Мотя), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Motya (Мотя)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kirovohrad handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Motya (Мотя) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Motya (Мотя) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kirovohrad will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Motya (Мотя) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Motya (Мотя) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kirovohrad early rather than rehoming privately; they know Motya (Мотя) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
