My name is Mowgli, a handsome mixed breed shepherd who was abandoned at the shelter because my owner could no longer meet my needs. I am a kind dog, a bit wary when I don't know someone, and should be approached with gentleness and kindness. Once I trust you, I am very affectionate and love cuddles. I also enjoy playing and love going on walks where I am calm. I am naturally sensitive, calm, and have a good foundation in training, very attentive once relaxed. Note that I show resource guarding, especially over food and toys; so it's best to leave me alone during these times 🙂 I am therefore not a "wanderer" dog and prefer to live in a quiet countryside environment, ideally in a house with a garden. I seem to get along with other dogs (I look for play) but not with cats and young children are not recommended due to my sensitivity. My adopters need to have good knowledge of canine behavior, be patient and gentle to get to know me, give me time to gain confidence, and adapt to my needs for daily walks, play and cuddles. In order to create a first bond of trust, several visits/walks will be necessary at the shelter before taking me home. Come fall for my beautiful heterochromatic eyes...

Je m’appelle Mowgli, beau croisé Berger abandonné au refuge, car mon maître n’avait plus la possibilité de répondre à mes besoins. Je suis un gentil chien, un peu méfiant quand je ne connais pas, à aborder avec douceur et bienveillance. Une fois en confiance je suis super affectueux, j’apprécie beaucoup les caresses. Je suis aussi joueur et j’adore partir en balades pendant lesquelles je suis calme. Je suis de nature sensible, calme et avec une bonne base d’éducation, très à l’écoute une fois détendu. A noter que je fais de la protection de ressources, notemment sur la nourriture et les jouets; il suffit donc de me laisser tranquille dans ces moments là 🙂 Je ne suis donc pas un chien de « vadrouille » et je préfère vivre dans un environnement de campagne, au calme et idéalement en maison avec jardin. Je semble m’entendre avec mes congénères (je cherche le jeu) mais pas avec les chats et les enfants en bas âge ne sont pas conseillés du fait de ma sensibilité. Mes adoptants devront avoir de bonnes bases en comportement canin, faire preuve de patience et de douceur pour apprendre à me connaître, me laisser le temps de prendre confiance, et s’adapter à mes besoins de sorties quotidiennes, de jeux et de câlins. Afin de créer un 1er lien de confiance, plusieurs visites/balades seront nécessaires au refuge avant de m’emmener à la maison. Venez craquer pour mes beaux yeux vairons…
