Mozart (vermittelt)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Name Mo (delicate) Born late December 2020 Gender male dog Breed mixed breed Size will be around medium foster home Mo (delicate) or also Baby Mo has made it and are allowed to move into their new home. We wish them all a wonderful time and are curious what this fellow will become. Regarding the ages mentioned here, they often refer to estimated values, as we don't always know the exact age. Other information, such as size, is subjective. He lives together with 4 adult dogs at his foster home. He is a really sweet puppy who cautiously observes and conquers the new world. He loves playing rounds in the garden with his dog buddy Eddie. He finds walks very exciting, and if he finds something a bit creepy, he stops to observe it first and then walks on calmly. Walking on a leash is going well. House training, with the garden, is already pretty good. He now enjoys cuddles. He doesn't really want to be picked up on the arm. He has managed his first short car rides well. At home, he is more of a quiet type and so far has not destroyed anything. Also, being alone for short periods with his dog buddy is already possible. We assume that he will grow into a larger dog. Currently (early May 2021), he weighs 8.5 kg and is just under 40 cm. Who wants to join Mo on his journey around the world at his own pace? The little creature has arrived at his foster home. Now it's all about sleeping, eating, sleeping, and having a first bath. A first description and new photos will follow in the next few days. … by the way, he hasn't named himself incorrectly at all 😉 he can sing quite well. Mozart is a puppy who lives together with other puppies in a Romanian animal shelter. Mo is a friendly, playful young fellow who should not spend his childhood in an animal shelter. Information about child and cat compatibility cannot be given on-site. If you are interested in this great dog, please fill out the Referral Form or call us at the phone number provided. About Mozart (vermittelt)

What life with Mozart (vermittelt) looks like

Mozart (vermittelt) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. in Zornheim.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mozart (vermittelt), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mozart (vermittelt)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mozart (vermittelt) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mozart (vermittelt) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mozart (vermittelt) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mozart (vermittelt) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Second Chance Dogs e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mozart (vermittelt) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
