A 9-year-old Boston Terrier, spayed and microchipped, is being sought by our shelter. The situation is unique and we want to manage it with respect for both the animal and the people currently caring for her. The dog has a permanent problem with her hind legs and cannot walk, which means she needs much more and more systematic daily care than a dog without mobility problems. The people who have her love her very much. However, financial difficulties, combined with limited available time, have made it extremely difficult to meet all the needs she requires daily. Her story makes it even more important to find the right solution. Years ago, the dog was saved by a person who wanted to proceed with euthanasia due to the same problem she faces in her back legs. Someone then decided that her life was worth a second chance. Today we want to ensure that this second chance will continue with dignity. Tomorrow a member of our Association will visit the place where she is located, so we can see her condition firsthand and have a full picture of her real daily and veterinary needs. At this time, we are looking above all for a stable and sustainable solution. ❤️ Adoption by a person who knows that he is taking on an animal with increased needs and is really ready to stand by her side. 🤝 Practical help from people in Thessaloniki, who could help systematically in her care, so that, if this proves feasible, she can remain with the people she already loves and knows. 💶 Financial support for her needs, if after our visit it is found that she can continue to live there with the necessary help and care. We do not want her to be taken away from her home simply because her care is difficult. If there is a way to support her people and ensure that she has everything she needs every day, this is a solution we want to seriously consider. However, if this is not possible, a responsible permanent adoption will be sought. 📍 The little dog is in Thessaloniki, so priority will initially be given to those interested in Thessaloniki and the surrounding areas. 🆘 ΔΕΝ ΨΑΧΝΟΥΜΕ ΑΠΛΩΣ ΕΝΑ ΣΠΙΤΙ. ΨΑΧΝΟΥΜΕ ΜΙΑ ΛΥΣΗ ΓΙΑ ΝΑ ΕΧΕΙ ΤΗ ΦΡΟΝΤΙΔΑ ΠΟΥ ΧΡΕΙΑΖΕΤΑΙ. Το Σωματείο μας δέχθηκε τηλεφώνημα για αυτή τη μικρή Boston Terrier, 9 ετών, στειρωμένη και με microchip. Η κατάσταση είναι ιδιαίτερη και θέλουμε να τη διαχειριστούμε με σεβασμό τόσο προς το ζώο όσο και προς τους ανθρώπους που βρίσκονται σήμερα δίπλα της. Η μικρή αντιμετωπίζει μόνιμο πρόβλημα στα πίσω άκρα και δεν μπορεί να περπατήσει, γεγονός που σημαίνει ότι χρειάζεται πολύ περισσότερη και συστηματικότερη καθημερινή φροντίδα από έναν σκύλο χωρίς κινητικά προβλήματα. Οι άνθρωποι που την έχουν την αγαπούν πραγματικά. Όμως οι οικονομικές δυσκολίες, σε συνδυασμό με τον περιορισμένο διαθέσιμο χρόνο, έχουν κάνει πλέον εξαιρετικά δύσκολο να ανταποκριθούν σε όλα όσα απαιτεί καθημερινά η κατάστασή της. Και η ιστορία της κάνει ακόμη πιο σημαντικό να βρεθεί η σωστή λύση. Πριν χρόνια, η μικρή σώθηκε από άνθρωπο που ήθελε να προχωρήσει σε ευθανασία εξαιτίας του ίδιου προβλήματος που αντιμετωπίζει στα πίσω πόδια της. Κάποιος τότε αποφάσισε ότι η ζωή της άξιζε μια δεύτερη ευκαιρία. Και σήμερα θέλουμε να διασφαλίσουμε ότι αυτή η δεύτερη ευκαιρία θα συνεχιστεί με αξιοπρέπεια. Αύριο μέλος του Σωματείου μας θα μεταβεί στον χώρο όπου βρίσκεται, ώστε να δούμε από κοντά την κατάστασή της και να έχουμε πλήρη εικόνα για τις πραγματικές καθημερινές και κτηνιατρικές ανάγκες της. Αυτή τη στιγμή αναζητούμε πάνω απ' όλα μια σταθερή και βιώσιμη λύση. ❤️ Υιοθεσία, από άνθρωπο που γνωρίζει ότι αναλαμβάνει ένα ζώο με αυξημένες ανάγκες και είναι πραγματικά έτοιμος να σταθεί δίπλα του. 🤝 Πρακτική βοήθεια από ανθρώπους στη Θεσσαλονίκη, που θα μπορούσαν να βοηθούν συστηματικά στη φροντίδα της, ώστε, εφόσον αυτό αποδειχθεί εφικτό, να μπορέσει να παραμείνει με τους ανθρώπους που ήδη αγαπά και γνωρίζει. 💶 Οικονομική υποστήριξη για τις ανάγκες της, εφόσον μετά την επίσκεψή μας διαπιστωθεί ότι μπορεί να συνεχίσει να ζει εκεί με την απαραίτητη βοήθεια και φροντίδα. Δεν θέλουμε να απομακρυνθεί από το σπίτι της απλώς και μόνο επειδή η φροντίδα της είναι δύσκολη. Αν υπάρχει τρόπος να στηριχθούν οι άνθρωποί της και να εξασφαλιστεί ότι θα έχει καθημερινά όλα όσα χρειάζεται, αυτή είναι μια λύση που θέλουμε σοβαρά να εξετάσουμε. Αν όμως αυτό δεν είναι δυνατό, τότε θα αναζητηθεί υπεύθυνη μόνιμη υιοθεσία. 📍 Η μικρή βρίσκεται στη Θεσσαλονίκη, επομένως θα δοθεί αρχικά προτεραιότητα σε ενδιαφερόμενους από Θεσσαλονίκη και γύρω περιοχές. Για μια πραγματικά κατάλληλη οικογένεια, μπορεί να εξεταστεί κατόπιν συνεννόησης και η μεταφορά της σε άλλη περιοχή. 🙏 Ακόμη κι αν δεν μπορείτε να την υιοθετήσετε, μια κοινοποίηση μπορεί να μας φέρει στον άνθρωπο που μπορεί να βοηθήσει.
