Mriya (Мрія)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Dnipro. Maryya has been through a lot of pain and suffering, but we hope all the bad is behind her and we are nurturing the hope to find her a family. The military found Maryya in a bag, and the dog had parts of all paws amputated. For the most affected paw of Maryya, a prosthesis was made. On three paws, fingers and parts of the soles were amputated. Currently, the dog moves on all four paws. Of course, she cannot stay on uneven surfaces for long, so at the animal shelter, Maryya lives in a worker's wagon, and she is taken out for walks as long as she can handle. By character, Maryya is gentle with her own, does not trust strangers, and protects. We believe in miracles and hope that a family will be found for Maryya, able to take care of a special dog. Preferably people who know how to keep dogs and are able to raise Maryya according to the rules of their home. We beg you - help find her a permanent home! We consider rehoming in European countries. With joy, we will answer all questions about Maryya, call:

About Mriya (Мрія)

What life with Mriya (Мрія) looks like

Mriya (Мрія) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Dnipro in Ukraine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mriya (Мрія), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mriya (Мрія)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Dnipro handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mriya (Мрія) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mriya (Мрія) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Dnipro will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mriya (Мрія) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mriya (Мрія) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Dnipro early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mriya (Мрія) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
