Muck (m)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Muck was born in March 2025 and is currently about 37 cm in size. He lives in the private animal shelter of Asociația Azor in Botoșani, where he has been waiting since his puppyhood for a permanent home. For almost a year, he has been growing in the animal shelter—time that is far too precious for a young dog to be spent behind bars. Muck lives in a large pack with many other dogs and consistently shows social and absolute compatibility. The dogs spend part of their day in the yard and the rest of the day together on the large open field. Muck always shows friendliness, peace, and simplicity there. He loves the community with the other dogs and easily fits into the group. Characteristically, Muck is more of a quiet and gentle dog. He does not belong to those dogs that immediately push to the front but rather observes new situations with his calm nature first. He is not at all afraid—rather cautious and pleasantly reserved. Those who give him some time learn to know an incredibly lovable and magical little fellow. Our German colleague got to personally meet Muck in Romania and was immediately completely enchanted by him. She describes him as an incredibly pleasant, loving, and special dog who should finally be seen. One of those quiet dogs that never draw attention, never cause problems, and are often overlooked. Muck is very loved on site because he is simply a dog who never stands out negatively. No go-getter, no problem dog—just a friendly, uncomplicated treasure with a very special nature. Muck can also be tested with cats if interested. For Muck, we wish people with hearts who will show him how wonderful a real home can be—with a warm dog bed, love, patience, and a lot of closeness. The little man has so much deserved to finally arrive and not have to grow up in the animal shelter any longer. Muck is vaccinated multiple times, neutered, microchipped, and of course in possession of an EU passport. Who will fall in love with this wonderful boy and give him the chance at a new life? Contact: Muck will be rehomed through Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. – with The association, of course, has the §11 (Animal Protection Act). Even after adoption, we will continue to support you—both for human and animal. Muck will travel to Germany and arrive in 91278 Pottenstein, where he is also to be picked up. There is a secured premises available. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

About Muck (m)

What life with Muck (m) looks like

Muck (m) is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Muck (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Muck (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Muck (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Muck (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Muck (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Muck (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Muck (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
