MUFASA

Male

Mufasa came to our shelter as a found animal. He is a male, neutered European Shorthair cat and was born around 2025. Mufasa is looking for a quiet and understanding home with patient people. Children should not live in his new home, as he does not feel comfortable with them. For him, we wish for an apartment with a securely networked balcony. The young cat is currently still anxious and uncertain. He is a bit startled, reacts sensitively to noise and needs enough time to get used to a new environment and his caregivers. Therefore, a quiet everyday life, reliable routines and retreat options are particularly important for him. Despite his uncertainty, Mufasa is quite interested in people and observes attentively what is happening around him. Who does not pressure him and gives him the necessary time, can win his trust step by step. His enthusiasm for food also helps: With small treats, he can be motivated and carefully lured out of his reserve. Mufasa is lively and playful and wants to be kept busy accordingly in his new home. Whether he is compatible with other cats has not been tested with us so far. A socialization could possibly be a possibility, but it would have to be designed individually and carefully. Dear interested parties, we are very happy that maybe one of our protégés will find a new home with you soon. Please note in the run-up to

About MUFASA

What life with MUFASA looks like

MUFASA is a adult cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting MUFASA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MUFASA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MUFASA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MUFASA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MUFASA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MUFASA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know MUFASA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
