adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process The beautiful Mufasa has found his home! His story: Red-white Velvet Paw searching for a home! But Mufasa still needs someone to share his life with. The little Mufasa was found alone and in a very poor condition by our colleague on the street. Without hesitation, she took him in and brought him to the vet first. It was determined that his teeth, despite his young age, were in very poor condition. Therefore, all of his teeth had to be removed. This, however, bothers the little one only slightly. Apart from his missing teeth, he is fit and lively. When he was found, he was around 1 year old. So he has been waiting for his family for a long time! Mufasa shows himself in his foster home as a loving and gentle tomcat. He prefers to avoid conflicts. Mufasa is very social and friendly, both with fellow animals and with people. As soon as he wakes up, he runs around in his foster home and inspects everything, then checks if everyone else is awake too 😊 He enjoys the contact with us humans and likes to sleep with us in his foster home. The young tomcat is not afraid. He also lets strangers pet him. The only thing that Mufasa dislikes, like many cats, is being lifted high. But he is happy to cuddle on his own. Mufasa gets along well with other cats, which is why we only place him with or with another Velvet Paw in his new home. So far, the young tomcat has shown no interest in going outdoors, so he can be kept as an indoor cat. However, he would be happy with a secure balcony or terrace where he can enjoy the sun and freedom and observe life outside his home. Mufasa has packed his bags and is only waiting to finally find a beautiful, loving home. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He has his own EU pet passport and is ready to travel. Are you ready to share your life with Mufasa? Many thanks to Silvie S.! You have given Mufasa his wonderful name and thus an identity. As of: 23.05. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

Stand: 23.05.2024

About Mufasa

What life with Mufasa looks like

Mufasa is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mufasa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mufasa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mufasa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mufasa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mufasa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mufasa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mufasa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
