adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Muno has found a home! 45883 Gelsenkirchen. Muno can travel to her foster home in early October! Her story: Baia Mare, Romania. The lovely Muno has been waiting since she was a puppy for her own home. Why is she always overlooked?! Muno is now approximately 2 years old and has spent her entire life in the shelter. This is not a good place for such a young female dog. Muno is about 40-45 cm tall and has not yet experienced life in a household. All the new impressions outside the shelter could initially unsettle her and Muno could be a bit shy. The little mouse is otherwise a typical young dog, active, playful, and of course with a lot of nonsense in her sweet little head. She gets along well with her fellow animals on site. She can be handled and led out of the kennel, but she will still need security in her home. For Muno, we wish for a home with dog experience that does not expect anything from her at first. Patience and time are needed, allowing her to come at her own pace. Small children should not live in her home, as the hustle and bustle could still unsetter her. A confident single dog, however, can give her orientation. We see Muno more in rural surroundings; a house with a garden would be ideal for her, even in the early stages. She is looking for people who don't mind if the occasional mishap happens and who can accompany her with a positively reinforcing training style. People who can have Muno with them at the beginning and do not need her to be alone, as she cannot be yet and must learn this very slowly. After the adjustment period, a visit to a positively working dog training class would be great, so Muno can spend time with other dogs and learn the dog 1×1 with her people. This brings a lot of fun and strengthens the bond between human and dog. Muno is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She has an EU pet passport with her and a positive foster home would also be very helpful. Do you give Muno a home? Thank you! Sandra H.! Thanks to you, Muno has her beautiful name and thus a chance to find her family.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Muno hat ihr Zuhause gefunden! 45883 Gelsenkirchen.

About Muno

What life with Muno looks like

Muno is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Muno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Muno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Muno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Muno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Muno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Muno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Muno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
