adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Nadja has found her home! Her story: A rattleband of siblings searching for their families. These are Nadja and her siblings Pooka, Naika, Asha, and Fiene. The little furballs were found together with their mother at -15 degrees in the cold. What that would have meant for the little ones if they hadn't been found, we can all imagine. But they were lucky and are currently in a foster home. This means, however, that they are still out there. While they are protected from wind and weather, a warm dog bed does not replace that. The little sugar mouse with the wild hairstyle is friendly, playful, and gentle in handling. This applies to other dogs as well as to people. Whether she likes cats as much as they are, has not yet been tested. The name Nadja means delicate in Persian, and she does her name proud. Nadja is currently only about 7 weeks old. Her mother is about 45 cm tall. The father was probably a bit smaller. Therefore, she will likely stay small and delicate, at most reaching a medium size. Since all the puppies in the litter have a shortened tail, they cannot be rehomed to Switzerland. As for Nadjas mother, it can be assumed that she is a Terrier mix. These are generally smart, brave, and character-strong dogs. To promote Nadja and deepen your relationship, a visit to a positively working dog training class would be a wonderful addition to her upbringing. The young lady, of course, also needs to learn the dog ABC at home. If you decide on a puppy, you must be aware that work lies ahead. But whoever takes on this responsibility will be amply rewarded and will get a great companion in Nadja. Do you still have a place in the dog bed and in the heart free for the sweet Nadja? Then contact us! Of course, we are also happy to receive a foster home. Nadja travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. Age-wise, she is not yet spayed. Stand: 18.02. Alas, a heartfelt thank you also goes to Sonja. Thank you for giving Nadja such a pretty name. Hopefully, soon she can pack her own bag. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 18.02.2026

About Nadja

What life with Nadja looks like

Nadja is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nadja, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nadja?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nadja on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nadja if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nadja already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nadja isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nadja and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
