adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt Naila! adoption requirements adoption process Naila has found its own home! Her story: The little, enchanting Naila, about 4 months old, embodies everything one could imagine in a typical puppy: she is curious, playful, and very open. Together with her three siblings, she was found and currently lives in a foster home, where she is housed in a pen in the garden. Naila is simply lovable. With her charming nature and clumsy paws, she brings a smile to everyone's face. She is developing well and is always ready to explore her surroundings. With her cheerful disposition, she is always ready for new adventures and discoveries. Like her siblings, we know little about her origins, but she is the cute beige-black female dog, an unexpected package. We all love all the sides of her and hope to find someone who will share in the joys of life with her. Naila gets along well with other dogs. She will likely reach a medium size and is looking for a family that will open its arms to her and show her the world. As she is still a puppy, she has a lot to learn. It is important that her new people have patience and are ready to train her with positive reinforcement. Small mishaps should not be taken out on her – she is still learning! In the first year of life, puppies should be as little alone as possible. The upcoming puberty will also present a challenge. During this phase, consistent but loving training is particularly important, as they often forget everything they have learned. But don't worry – this phase will pass! Naila is ready when you are. She travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She also has her EU pet passport in her luggage. After a positive Naila has found its loving home and is ready to explore the world with you? Then get in touch with us! Naila is looking forward to meeting you. Many thanks to Alexandra! Vielen Dank an Alexandra! Du hast Naila ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 01.08.2024

About Naila

What life with Naila looks like

Naila is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naila, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naila?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naila on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naila if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naila already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naila isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naila and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
