Nalle

Female · Young · 1 year

A kind, cozy and very nice teddy bear Nalle is a little over one year old Cane corso mix with a big heart and a wonderful dose of puppy happiness. He is playful, curious and full of life; a bit like a large calf that hasn't quite realized how big and strong he actually is. Nalle loves closeness and quickly bonds with his humans, enjoys contact and wants to be where the action is. He has a playful way and enjoys both company and play, especially with other dogs with whom he likes to play. At the same time, he is in a phase of life where much is still new and sometimes a bit uncertain, which makes him charming and in need of proper guidance. The dog has undergone a BPH test (Behavior and Personality Description) to give a clearer picture of its personality and characteristics. Nalle can show guarding behavior at home and around his family, which is a trait that needs to be understood and managed in a safe and balanced way. He is also in an age where uncertainties can arise - a bit like a "ghost period" where new things or environments may feel unfamiliar. Heavy traffic and loud noises can make him scared, and he may then need support to feel safe. He is still playful in his manner, can get excited during play and does not always have full control of his body. Here, he needs help to land and be guided properly. With the right support and patience, he has good prospects to grow into himself and become a stable adult dog. Nalle is looking for a home in a quieter environment, preferably in the countryside or on the outskirts where the pace is lower and where he can avoid the most intense traffic. He would thrive in a home with areas to move around, where he gets the opportunity to stroll, keep an eye on things and feel involved. His strong attachment to his humans makes him best suited for someone who wants a close relationship with their dog and who can provide both security and clear boundaries. Experience with larger dogs and understanding of guarding behaviors is a big plus. For the right person, Nalle is a fantastic companion; loving, loyal and full of life.

SV·Show original

About Nalle

What life with Nalle looks like

Nalle is a large young adult dog waiting at Hundstallet in Stockholm.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nalle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nalle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundstallet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nalle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nalle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundstallet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nalle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nalle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundstallet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nalle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
