Adopt Nana

Female · Senior · 12 years

Nana is a special senior with class. Calm, gentle and exceptionally well-mannered - she brings peace, warmth and a sense of security into the home. She is a cat who does not need to be the center of attention, but she very much enjoys human company. She prefers to rest just beside her caregiver, discreetly keeping company during everyday moments. She is the perfect companion for a quiet life. She loves naps, soft blankets and lazy evenings on the couch, but despite her age, she can still show a younger side of her nature - she is interested in chasing the fishing rod, and sometimes she has short, funny sprints around the apartment. 😊 The little cat will best find her place in a quiet home, without small children. She would happily live with a gentle, unobtrusive dog who respects her boundaries and need for rest. She is also extremely brave, she has kidney disease and requires medication which she takes without any problem. The lack of teeth absolutely does not hinder her from eating or enjoying life - she still has an appetite and a good spirit.

Nana to wyjątkowa seniorka z klasą. Spokojna, delikatna i niezwykle ułożona — wnosi do domu ciszę, ciepło i poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Jest kotką, która nie potrzebuje być w centrum uwagi, ale bardzo kocha obecność człowieka. Najchętniej odpoczywa tuż obok opiekuna, dyskretnie dotrzymując towarzystwa podczas codziennych chwil. To idealna towarzyszka spokojnego życia.

About Nana

What life with Nana looks like

Nana is a senior cat waiting at Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań in Poznań.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
