Naquito

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 8 years

Naquito, a male American Staffordshire Terrier, born on 29.10.17, arrived due to a removal as the owner was not in compliance with regulations. Due to his breed, Naquito is a Category 2 dog, so his future owner will need to have specific papers for keeping Category 2 dogs. We will explain everything in detail if you are interested. Naquito is a sociable dog who loves human contact. He can live without problems with children. He will adapt well to both an apartment and a house. If you live in a house, the yard must be fenced. He is clean. In his absence, he may make a few mistakes. The proof is in the picture. Even if he claims it's the cushion that exploded on its own. He is very playful. He does not pull too much on the leash during walks. He travels well by car. Ok dogs, but a test will be necessary if you have them because he can have his heads. He should be able to live with cats because a meeting was made and he did not seem more interested than that. Identified 250 268 732 129 826, vaccinated, dewormed, neutered. In foster care, so contact only by email at [fostercareemail]. Describe your environment (house or apartment, fenced yard or not, children, other animals, time away...). Give your address and a phone number to contact you!

About Naquito

What life with Naquito looks like

Naquito is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Refuge Animalier du Pays de Landerneau in France.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naquito, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naquito?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Animalier du Pays de Landerneau handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naquito on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naquito if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Animalier du Pays de Landerneau will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naquito already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naquito isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Animalier du Pays de Landerneau early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naquito and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
