Narok

Mixed Breed Cat · Male

Description Our animal welfare workers report: The handsome, spotted tomcat Narok is ready to move into his new home. He seeks people who appreciate a tomcat with character. Narok likes people and enjoys their company, but also makes it clear what he wants—and what he doesn’t. He lives peacefully with other cats, even though he doesn’t necessarily need them for play. He already knew dogs from his previous foster home and got along very well with them. His palate is a bit longer than normal. This doesn’t bother him, but it does lead to him snoring quite loudly at night—a very special sleep companion. Additionally, he has chronic rhinitis, which means he occasionally sneezes or has a runny nose. This doesn’t restrict his everyday life: Narok leads a completely normal life. Who will give this beautiful tomcat the chance at a loving home of his own? The cat featured here came from an animal shelter/foster home that still houses many other animals. We are searching for homes and a loving, safe life for these animals. The descriptions are brief because there simply isn’t time during our daily work to care for all the animals. If you are interested, a more detailed description can be requested. Please send your questions directly via email to the provided address. We will try to answer them as soon as possible. Home Wanted For Narok, we are searching for a loving, understanding home. Our cats come—where their health and age allow—it neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with an EU Pass. They are also tested for FELV/FIV. We look forward to your contact.

About Narok

What life with Narok looks like

Narok is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Narok, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Narok?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Narok on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Narok if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Narok already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Narok isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Narok and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
