adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Naya has found her home! Her story: Every day, the little Naya sits at the cage and looks out with her warm, amber eyes—full of hope and longing. The shelter is simply not a place for an eight-month-old, delicate female dog. Naya might already sense that there is more out there than cold walls and hard floors. Maybe somewhere, someone is waiting for her, someone she can love. Naya is, in fact, an absolute treasure. Currently about 42 cm tall and weighing around 9 kg, but with a heart much bigger than she is. As soon as a person enters her kennel, she becomes a little cuddle mouse. Unendingly loving, she snuggles up and her gaze says: "Please stay a little with me. I have so much love to give." She would love to crawl into a person's lap, so much does she enjoy closeness and human warmth. As a "finishing touch," of course, her extraordinary appearance adds to her charm: Naya's golden fur looks like it has been painted with soft black brushstrokes. Wonderfully streaked, unique like an artwork. Naya will one day be a medium-sized female dog. Life in a home is something she probably still needs to get to know. House training, leash walking, the everyday between walks and cuddle time— all of this is new to her. And then, of course, puberty will inevitably come, which may sometimes put her back to square one. But she brings everything with her that she needs to master it all: kindness, trust, and a whole lot of willingness to please. With patient, loving people, Naya will quickly learn and grow. We wish Naya a home where she gets everything she longs for: closeness, security, and someone who shows her that she has finally arrived. Maybe you are the person who can tell Naya for the first time in her life: "You are now home." Naya could pack her bags right away. She travels vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, and dewormed. She is up to date on many thanks, Jessie! You gave Naya her name! Date: 27.11.

Vielen Dank Jessie! Du hast Naya ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 27.11.2025

About Naya

What life with Naya looks like

Naya is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
