adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Nayla has found her home! Her story: May we introduce her? This is Nayla! For those seeking an extra portion of joy in their life, this little magic mouse is just right. Nayla is a real energy bundle – curious about everything the world has to offer, and always ready for a game. Her black-brown fur gleams in competition with her joie de vivre – one must simply love her! As a genuine "purebred stray," her future size is currently only a guess; she is likely to grow medium to large. Found together with her siblings Linchen, Whoop, Raffi, and Rory at the edge of the forest – severely undernourished and infested with fleas. Today, at 33 cm, she is the most delicate in the group, but character-wise, she stands up to the bigger ones. As a small "surprise package," Nayla brings two special features: she has a harmless-looking navel injury that should still be monitored. Additionally, she reacts allergically to poultry protein. With the right diet – consistently without poultry – this is however no problem for her and her people. Of course, we would be happy to advise her new family in detail about this. Currently, Nayla lives with her siblings, other dogs, and cats in a foster home in Romania in an outdoor setting. In her new home, she must first learn that she is also safe and secure without her accustomed pack. Her people should bring enough time and patience for a gentle adjustment. She needs a loving but consistent guidance through the puppyhood and the often turbulent puberty. A visit to dog training classes would be a wonderful support in guiding her energy and curiosity into the right direction. For her perfect happiness, Nayla wishes a home with a house and an enclosed garden in a more rural setting or at a quiet suburban edge. A hectic city life would likely overwhelm the little explorer – she would rather dash over green meadows and explore nature together with her people. Nayla travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home. Of course, she brings her EU pet passport with her. Upon positive review, a loving foster home would also be a wonderful start to a happy future. A heartfelt thank you goes to her namesake, Alexander S., who gave Nayla this beautiful name! As of: 19.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 19.02.2026

About Nayla

What life with Nayla looks like

Nayla is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nayla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nayla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nayla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nayla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nayla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nayla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nayla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
