Adopt Naz – eine treue Seele

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 11 years

Naz is a very friendly female Kangal who is absolutely gentle towards people. Of course, she is typical of her breed in being watchful and protective. She knows and likes children, but not so much cats. She gets along with small to medium-sized female dogs and male dogs (of all sizes) after getting to know them multiple times and if they are confident. However, a period of introduction is needed. When meeting other dogs, she reacts strongly and not kindly on the leash or at the fence. Her future owners should definitely be firm and have the necessary strength to handle the 70 cm tall female dog. You can hardly tell that she is 11 years old, as the young-looking herding dog looks and acts very youthful. Naz is a cheerful and very lovable female dog who loves to be scratched and brushed. She can easily be left alone for hours and travels in the car. Typically of her breed, Naz has her own mind and can be somewhat stubborn. Because Naz is so people-oriented, she definitely needs a family environment and should not live in a kennel or garden. The future owners of Naz should have a house with a fenced and secure garden. Naz is not housed at our animal shelter. Since she urgently needs a suitable home, we are happy to provide assistance in finding a home for the animal shelter Selb.

About Naz – eine treue Seele

What life with Naz – eine treue Seele looks like

Naz – eine treue Seele is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein SOM e.V. (Tierheim Pfaffengrün) in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naz – eine treue Seele, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naz – eine treue Seele?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein SOM e.V. (Tierheim Pfaffengrün) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naz – eine treue Seele on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naz – eine treue Seele if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein SOM e.V. (Tierheim Pfaffengrün) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naz – eine treue Seele already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naz – eine treue Seele isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein SOM e.V. (Tierheim Pfaffengrün) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naz – eine treue Seele and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
