NEAPOL

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 16 years

Around 2010, weighed 25 kg, Gmina BEDLNO, neutered YES, other dogs YES. There are moments in shelter work when our hearts break and tears of helplessness fill our eyes. Nothing is sadder than seeing an older, gray dog who instead of dozing on a soft couch by his human's side ends up on cold, sheltered concrete. Meet Naples - absolutely wonderful, mature senior dog who arrived at our center just a few days ago. Naples is a dignified, larger boy - weighing 25 kg and his face is already covered with thick, wise gray hair. Naples is currently experiencing an unimaginable drama. Day by day he lost everything he knew - home, safe corner, the scent of his human and sense of stability. Shelter reality - ubiquitous, deafening noise, barking hundreds of dogs and metal bars - completely overwhelmed him. This older gentleman is extremely lost, disoriented and terrified of where he ended up. Instead of reacting with anger, Naples shows its most beautiful

Ur. ok. 2010 Waga 25 kg Gmina BEDLNO Kastracja TAK Inne psy TAK Są w schroniskowej pracy momenty, kiedy pęka nam serce, a w oczach stają łzy bezsilności. Schroniskowa rzeczywistość – wszechobecny, ogłuszający huk, szczekanie setek psów i metalowe kraty – kompletnie go przerosły. Ten starszy pan jest skrajnie zagubiony, zdezorientowany i przerażony miejsce, w którym się znalazł. Zamiast jednak reagować złością, Neapol pokazuje swoje najpiękniejs

About NEAPOL

What life with NEAPOL looks like

NEAPOL is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne in 99-423.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting NEAPOL, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NEAPOL?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NEAPOL on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NEAPOL if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is NEAPOL already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NEAPOL isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne early rather than rehoming privately; they know NEAPOL and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
