Adopt Neix

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Description written by our Spanish animal welfare workers: Neix is one of four puppies that were left in a box and deposited at our animal shelter. Unfortunately, one of the puppies did not survive; it's no wonder, as all of them were severely undernourished, very dirty, and full of ticks. Neix has developed into a wonderful female dog and has been living at the animal shelter almost two years now. She is very people-oriented and always wants to be close to people to snuggle. She gets along well with other dogs, is sociable, and is exemplary in her behavior. Neix has been waiting so long that it would break your heart if she didn't find her people. Every pot has a lid, but where is hers? Update: 23.04.2026 Text update and new photos: Neix is a very calm female dog, walks well on a leash, and is both friendly to people and other dogs. Neyx came to our animal shelter at just three months old, so she has been with us for four years now. If one could see the kindness of Neix, she would surely find a family quickly. Unfortunately, the grandeur of this four-legged friend cannot be fully captured in photos. She walks well on a leash and adapts well to any situation, despite being in the animal shelter for so many years. 30.04.2026 New video 15.02.2026 New photos from the November visit 21.05.2024 New videos 18.11.2023: New description, new pictures, new videos 06.09.2023: New pictures, new video, new description, new measurements 14.02.2023: New videos Please note:

About Neix

What life with Neix looks like

Neix is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Neix, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Neix?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Neix on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Neix if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Neix already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Neix isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Neix and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
