Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Nero, born approximately August 2024. He is neutered and a very loving and affectionate cat who also enjoys his outdoor time. He is therefore looking for a home in a low-traffic area where this is possible. He came to the foster home as a found cat over a year ago, but so far no one has wanted to adopt him. He has been living on the foster home until now and also enjoys his outdoor time there. Children in the new home should be a bit older and sensible. Nero is afraid of dogs, so no dogs should live in the new home. Cats are welcome, however. He also enjoys being the sole prince. If you would like to give Nero his long-awaited home, please contact the foster home in Traben-Trarbach at the mobile number

What life with Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 looks like

Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierhilfe Rhein-Hunsrück e.V. in Germany.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Rhein-Hunsrück e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Rhein-Hunsrück e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Rhein-Hunsrück e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nero, geb. ca. 08/2024 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
