Neus

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten

Description Neus was a small cat who lived—or rather, struggled to survive—outside a vacation rental house, alongside other cats. Depending on the renters of the day, she sometimes received a bit of food, but as the weakest and smallest, she was always the last to get any scraps that might be left. One guest who stayed there saw how vulnerable she was, due to her gentle nature and inability to fight for her survival. Without hesitation, they put her in the car and brought her to our shelter for help and veterinary attention. Neus is the sweetest of the kittens, affectionate and quiet, as if she walks on tiptoes to avoid disturbing anyone. She has suffered so much in her life that she is happy with just a little food and protection. She would be a faithful companion in a quiet home where she could be cared for, receiving all the affection she has not received in her sad life.

About Neus

What life with Neus looks like

Neus is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Keywords in Spain.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Neus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Neus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Keywords handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Neus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Neus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Keywords will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Neus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Neus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Keywords early rather than rehoming privately; they know Neus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
