adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! Our lovely Neva is approximately 1.5 years old and is looking for her heart-melting people. She has a wonderful medium size—not too big, not too small—just like Neva. Neva shows herself to be a very loving and playful female dog who enjoys and needs attention from people. She has a very friendly nature and wins hearts like a storm. Whether she gets along well with other dogs and cats has not yet been tested. Neva is an active female dog who loves movement. We are looking for active people who are willing to both physically and mentally challenge Neva. Lying around all day on the couch? Not with Neva. If you want a female dog with whom you can experience adventures and who also keeps you fit, then Neva might be just right for you. Visually, Neva resembles a Husky mix. The Husky mix is an active, intelligent, and inquisitive dog with a lot of character. Typical of its heritage, it brings a large portion of energy and joy to move around. These dogs are usually social and people-oriented, but can also bring a certain independence and stubbornness that should be lovingly and consistently guided. With the right training, they become loyal, happy companions who bring a lot of joy into the lives of their people. Neva likely still has a lot to learn. We assume that she has not yet experienced life in a household. This includes indoor cleanliness or leash training, etc. A positively working dog training class could be a great support for the clever Neva and her new family here. Neva is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and brings an EU pet passport with her and can go home after a positive If you want to run a race with Neva soon, then feel free to contact us. A loving foster family would also be a wonderful opportunity for the pretty female dog and a first step into a happy and secure future. Many thanks, dear Serina, for giving Neva a name and thus the chance at a new life. As of: 10.06.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Neva

What life with Neva looks like

Neva is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Neva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Neva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Neva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Neva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Neva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Neva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Neva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
