Nina

European Shorthair · Female

Nina ID No.: 144573 Breed: EKH Age: 06/2023 Gender: female Housing: Indoor/outdoor cat Neutered/Sterilized: Yes Location: Marbella (Spain) Inquiry form Hi there, I’m Nina 🙂 I’m a young, little cat who urgently needs a forever home! Naturally, I’m always in a great mood for my age and get along wonderfully with other cats. I also love people—cuddling with them is so nice! When I arrived at the animal shelter, I was already unable to use my left hind leg. The vets here examined me thoroughly but couldn’t determine why I don’t move that leg. However, it doesn’t cause me any pain, and I can walk without any problems. In my new home, I absolutely need a friend of similar age! Since my siblings Cloe and Sam are also here, maybe I could even bring both of them—or at least one of them—along? She is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Vaccinations: Yes Disability/other impairment Additional €85.00 transport fee Contact person Andrea Mürner Tel: Email:

Impfungen Ja Handicap sonstige Behinderung Schutzgebühr 200,00€ zzgl. 85,00€ Transportgebühr Ansprechpartner Andrea Mürner Tel: Email: Anfrageformular

About Nina

What life with Nina looks like

Nina is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
