𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗮 – 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆! Currently in Cyprus | Can be adopted in the UK too! Nina is a stunning 1.5-year-old medium-sized girl (about 17 kg) with lots of Labrador-like traits and an even bigger heart. She’s finished growing and is the perfect size for an active home. 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗴𝘀 Nina loves canine friends and enjoys social play. She’s been well-socialised at the shelter and at public events, so she’s confident and ready to fit right into a new family. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 & 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻 This girl loves to move! We recommend a home with children aged 𝟭𝟮+ and a family who can give her the physical exercise and mental stimulation she thrives on. 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 & 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 Nina is very food-oriented, which makes training a breeze. She already knows 𝘀𝗶𝘁, 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲, and she’d love to keep learning more with her new humans. About Nina

What life with Nina looks like

Nina is a small young adult dog waiting at Simba Animal Aid Cyprus.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇾Adopting from Cyprus

Cypriot rescues focus heavily on cross-border placements (the island has more strays than local adopters). Animals are fully vetted before flying. The adopter pays the transport, while the shelter coordinates vaccinations, chipping, and the passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Simba Animal Aid Cyprus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Simba Animal Aid Cyprus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Simba Animal Aid Cyprus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
