Nina

Mixed Breed · Female

Nina - a large, affectionate and wonderful Molosser girl looking for her forever home Nina is a young Molosser female with a big heart and lots of personality. She is a social, playful and very affectionate girl who loves to be with her humans. She has a medium activity level and enjoys a good mix of walks, play, cuddles and a quiet family life. Nina has a good mood and is a dog that likes to be part of the family. Personality Nina is a really lovely girl - happy, social and very fond of cuddles. She is described as: - affectionate and people-oriented - playful and happy - food-loving and very trainable - social and with a good mood - fond of people - fond of car rides She is also a dog that likes to lie on the sofa or bed with the family. With Nina, you don't just get a dog - you get a pretty big sofa buddy. And as is often the case with Molossers: a little snoring and sikke must be comfortable with. Glad in play and activity Nina has a medium activity level and doesn't need a home that is always on the go. She likes walks, play and using her head, and since she is very food-motivated and trainable, she is happy to participate in training. She also likes to play with other dogs. However, Nina can get a bit rough in play, and because of her size and play style, she is not suitable for small dogs. Other animals Nina has grown up with children and can live with a cat that is used to dogs. She likes other dogs and can enjoy dog company, but she needs a dog that can handle her being a big and physically playful girl. She is therefore best suited to a dog that is confident and robust, and not a small dog that can easily be overwhelmed by her enthusiasm. Nina needs Due to her size, we imagine that Nina would thrive best in a single-family home, preferably with some space around her. She has a natural guarding instinct and looks after her house. This also means that she needs people who understand that this is part of her and who can give her safe and clear boundaries. Nina wants 🏡 To be part of the family 🏡 To have lots of closeness and cuddles 🌲 To have walks and activities suited to her level 🧠 To use her head and learn new things 🐾 To have the opportunity to play and be a dog 🛋️ To be allowed to take over the sofa when she feels like it ⏳ To be alone at home when she has become familiar and safe in her new home Alone at home Nina can be alone at home when she has become familiar and safe in her new home. As with all dogs, she will need a calm and gradual acclimatization when she moves, so that she has time to become safe in her new surroundings and people.

About Nina

What life with Nina looks like

Nina is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at 4Ever Home in Oslo (national).

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 4Ever Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 4Ever Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 4Ever Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NB). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
