Adopt Noa

Podenco · Female · Young · 2 years

Animal shelter Spanish Animals in Need: Update February 5, 2026: Here is the beautiful young Podenco lady, Noa! A nice, affectionate girl. The only thing she's missing is her lovely family forever. She is leishmania positive, but it's under control. She just needs allopurinol, which is fortunately an inexpensive medication. Noa gets along very well with everyone, loves people most, melts at petting and cuddling, and gets along great with dogs and cats! Noa is up to date with all her vaccinations, spayed, has a passport, and so on, and her suitcase is ready to travel to the Netherlands! We hope we can find the long awaited family for Noa soon. + 3 new photos and a new video of the handsome Noa added. Update July 8, 2025: Our beautiful Noa, always charming and loving. In February this year, her blood test came back positive for leishmania. She received medication and the treatment has even been completed already. Last week Noa went back to the vet for a blood test, we are still waiting for the results and hoping everything is good. + 4 new photos added of Noa's visit to the vet. Update September 23, 2024: Noa hasn't found her own family yet, although she is so nice and beautiful. Noa has now had a cat test and hopefully the chances have now increased that she gets her chance. Which kind family will give Noa this new opportunity and her well-earned golden basket? New video added. Input June 20, 2024: Noa is a lively, 18-month-old female Podenco who was left behind in Malaga at the beginning of this year. The poor girl was very thin, you could see her bones, was thirsty, hungry, and very afraid of people. Fortunately, Noa managed to improve both emotionally and physically thanks to the extraordinary work of the volunteers. This young lady is simply adorable! She is super sweet and affectionate. She has a wonderful nose and beautiful eyes. Noa loves cuddles and if she can, she follows you everywhere, she always laughs and is a pleasure to be around. Noa is already very used to wearing a harness and lead and walks nicely along to the bus where she follows the other dogs to get in. Noa is very social with dogs. She likes to play with them, it would be ideal if there was already a dog in the family to keep her company. Noa is spayed and negative for Mediterranean diseases. We have no doubt that she will be a great member of someone's family, who will give this lovely girl a new chance for a life with her own, loving family?

About Noa

What life with Noa looks like

Noa is a medium-sized young adult podenco dog waiting at description in AL Ridderkerk.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Noa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Noa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. description handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Noa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Noa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — description will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Noa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Noa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with description early rather than rehoming privately; they know Noa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
