Adopt Noah

Poodle · Male · Young · 3 years

Noah is a sensitive chap who takes time to build relationships. Once he knows you, his goofy side comes out and he loves a cuddle with his handlers. He is happy to occupy himself with toys and also also enjoys exploring places he is familiar with! Noah is a 3-year-old Poodle Crossbreed. He has had a tough start to life and is looking for a home with adopters happy to continue working on his confidence to aid his transition into a home environment. He is looking for a home where he will be the only pet, although once he is happy going out on walks he would benefit from well-established walking friends. Noah's adopters will need to build any leaving hours up over time as he settles as he very much relies on company. Noah is progressing well with his training here, although he is not yet entirely comfortable walking on a lead so a secure garden is a must with adopters happy and open to continuing this training. Whilst we have no history of Noah living with children, he could potentially live with calm and respectful secondary school aged children pending successful meets here at the centre. We would be looking to place Noah into a home on a foster-to-adopt basis initially with ongoing support from our welfare team. Because of this, we would be looking for adopters who ideally live within an hour of the centre.

About Noah

What life with Noah looks like

Noah is a young adult poodle dog waiting at Dogs Trust Salisbury in Newton Tony.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Noah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Noah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Salisbury handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Noah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Noah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Salisbury will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Noah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Noah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Salisbury early rather than rehoming privately; they know Noah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
