Nori und Mama Shoyu

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Nori and Shoyu Age: born 2024+2025. Gender: 2xFemale/neutered Compatibility: Suitable for multiple pets, housed together: Apartment with secured garden, outdoor access, possibly apartment with a large balcony Health: Microchipped, tested negative (FIV/FeLV), vaccinated (cold/flu) x 210,00 Euro per cat Nori and Shoyu belong to a total of 7 cats from a neutering action. It always starts off small. An unneutered stray cat is fed, the cat has kittens, and the animal welfare is then called when it becomes clear that these young animals will also soon be producing kittens. This time we got away with a Blue Eye, only one cat was already pregnant, and the other spayings were timely. These pretty tortoiseshell girls are mother and daughter and have been in their foster home since early March. And it’s going so well that we want to introduce them here. Nori is a playful kitten and is already heading towards cuddle mode. She will spin and stretch to make sure she gets every pet. At her mother Shoyu, treats are still needed as an incentive, then she can also be petted. Mother and daughter like each other very much and should therefore be rehomed together. Both are still quite new to the human apartment world, so they often react nervously to the unknown or strangers. One should already have some experience – ideally also with shy animals – if a person wants to take them into their family. But they are on a good path and are almost ready to be “finished house cats.” Their life on the street is definitely over. At the moment, we cannot yet estimate whether a life in an apartment with a balcony would be suitable for them permanently. Therefore, they are preferably rehomed in a home with a secured garden or outdoor access in an appropriate neighborhood. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

Nori und Shoyu Alter: geb. 2024+2025.

About Nori und Mama Shoyu

What life with Nori und Mama Shoyu looks like

Nori und Mama Shoyu is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenschutzbund Köln in Köln.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nori und Mama Shoyu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nori und Mama Shoyu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenschutzbund Köln handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nori und Mama Shoyu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nori und Mama Shoyu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenschutzbund Köln will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nori und Mama Shoyu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nori und Mama Shoyu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenschutzbund Köln early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nori und Mama Shoyu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
