Since March 17, 2026, Anubis has been back with us at the animal shelter. A large and beautiful, black tomcat, who is approximately 4 years old. He was rehomed for 3 months, but people and the animal couldn't find a proper connection. There were phone calls and WhatsApp messages, and things did improve a bit, but it never became truly good. And so, they reluctantly gave him back to us. Our conclusion is: Anubis needs a lot of space, many climbing opportunities, a secure balcony, and a consistent daily routine that gives him security and structure. It is also very important that his new owners have enough time for him, because he is a real "cuddle bear." He seeks and needs the closeness of a human and many cuddles. In addition to Anubis, both of his eyes require an operation (which we will have performed), as he has entropion. This results in a painful inward rotation of the eyelid, where the eyelashes and fur irritate the cornea, leading to tearing, squinting, and corneal injuries. After the vet visit, we will know more. Until then, we are providing him with a healing eye ointment. Anubis is such a gentle giant, cuddly, and simply lovable, and we wish from the bottom of our hearts that he will find his forever home soon.

Seit dem 17.03.26 ist Anubis wieder bei uns im Tierheim. Ein großer und wunderschöner, schwarzer Kater, der ca. 4 Jahre alt ist. Er war für 3 Monate vermittelt, doch Menschen und Tier konnten nicht richtig zueinander finden. Es gab Telefonate und Whatsapp´s, und es wurde auch etwas besser, doch richtig gut wurde es nie. Und so gaben sie ihn schweren Herzens wieder in unsere Hände. Unser Fazit ist: Anubis braucht viel Platz, viele Klettermöglichkeiten, einen gesicherten Balkon und einen beständigen Tagesablauf, der ihm Sicherheit und Struktur gibt. Ganz wichtig ist auch, dass seine neuen Besitzer genügend Zeit für ihn haben, denn er ist ein richtiger “Schmusebär”. Er sucht und braucht die Nähe des Menschen und viele Kuscheleinheiten. Bei Anubis kommt noch hinzu, dass bei beiden Augen eine Operation notwendig ist (die wir durchführen lassen werden), da er Roll-Lider hat. Hierbei kommt es zu einer schmerzhaften Einwärtsdrehung des Augenlids, bei der Wimpern und Fell die Hornhaut reizen, was zu Tränenfluss, Zukneifen und Hornhautverletzungen führt. Nach dem Tierarztbesuch werden wir Genaueres wissen. Bis dahin versorgen wir ihn mit einer pflegenden Augensalbe. Anubis ist ein so sanfter Riese, verschmust und einfach liebenswert und wir wünschen uns von Herzen, dass er ganz bald sein Für-Immer-Zuhause findet. Anubis ist reserviert
