Nurii

Border Collie · Female · Young · 2 years

Breed: Border Collie x Australian Shepherd Color: Black-and-White Age: December 25, 2024 Gender: Female Spayed: Yes Reason for relinquishment: Health issues of the owner Characteristics: We are looking for a home for Nurii with an experienced dog owner who can provide a securely fenced yard nearby, with no small children and no cats. Nurii came to us at the age of 8 months very stressed and exhibiting autistic traits. Indoors, she quickly became very affectionate and attentive and loves to learn. However, she is still quite energetic for her age, though she can also happily spend a few hours alone. She prefers to lie on the terrace outside. Outside her secure environment, she is insecure, highly impulsive, and tends to attack anything that moves too close. Off-leash, she gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. She interacts nicely with dogs she knows, but encounters on leash still need much practice! If you're interested, Nurii would love to be visited and get to know you—but we’d like to visit the new home beforehand. Country of origin (where the dog currently resides): Switzerland Breeding country: Switzerland Contact address: Claudius Reichenbach, Email: , or 88 Share this post

Rasse: Border Collie x Australischer Schäferhund Farbe: Schwarz-Weiss Alter: 25. About Nurii

What life with Nurii looks like

Nurii is a small young adult border collie dog waiting at Berner Tierzentrum in Switzerland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nurii, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nurii?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Berner Tierzentrum handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nurii on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nurii if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Berner Tierzentrum will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nurii already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nurii isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Berner Tierzentrum early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nurii and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
