Nyertes

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

Nyertes was born in 2016 and is a mixed breed dog whose arrival was a real stroke of luck. She went missing immediately before being taken into the care of the Noé Animal Shelter foundation. Thanks to the Kertvárosi Animal Rescue, she was safely found after three days of wandering. We don't know what drove her to travel so far, but the amazing little team tried to catch her for two nights before they succeeded. We don't know her background, but we do know that she was found at the Széll Kálmán field, and then simply put in a lamp post. We didn't find a microchip or any other unique identifier in her. Nyertes is friendly, open-minded, and eager to meet new people. She loves to walk and needs exercise and outings, and she takes great joy in every shared activity. Now an elderly gentleman, she is endlessly trusting, candid, and kind, a gentleman who not only wins hearts with his fur but also with his huge heart. She walks gracefully on a lead, tolerates being petted, is cooperative and adaptable. She gets along well with other dogs, though she can be a little picky, but she can be trained. Her playful nature is slowly fading, and she increasingly just listens in the quiet. She finds a home where she can be a real family member. She deserves a home where she can live her senior years peacefully, comfortably, and stress-free. She no longer craves big adventures or thrills – true happiness for her means a safe home, a present presence, comforting hugs, and the small joys of everyday life. A comfortable bed, slow walks, fine walls, and the feeling that she finally belongs. She is currently microchipped and vaccinated, searching for her new guardian!

Nyertes kb. 2016. születésű keverék kan kutya, akinek a bekerülése igen kalandosra sikeredett. Közvetlenül a Noé Állatotthon Alapítvány gondozásába kerülése előtt eltűnt. About Nyertes

What life with Nyertes looks like

Nyertes is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Note from the shelter: Senior dog needing calm, stress-free environment

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nyertes, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nyertes?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nyertes on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nyertes if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nyertes already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nyertes isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nyertes and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
