Ócsai Niva

Staffordshire Bull Terrier · Female · Young · 2 years

Niva is a very people-oriented, cuddly dog. She is extremely patient and friendly towards other dogs. She is also kind to children and gets along well with them. She is fully house-trained, calm, quiet and not a barker. She is playful, but her exercise needs are average. She walks nicely and neatly on a leash. She also gets along well with cats. Niva is a nice, lovable and balanced dog who longs for human closeness and could be a wonderful companion for her future family.

HU·Show original

Niva egy nagyon embercentrikus, bújós kutyus. Más kutyákkal szemben is rendkívül türelmes és barátságos. Gyerekekkel is kedves, jól kijön velük. Teljesen szobatiszta, nyugodt, csendes kutyus, nem ugatós. Játékos, ugyanakkor a mozgásigénye átlagos. Pórázon szépen és ügyesen sétál. Cicákkal is jól kijön. Niva egy kedves, szerethető és kiegyensúlyozott kutyus, aki nagyon vágyik az emberi közelségre, és csodálatos társa lehet leendő családjának.

About Ócsai Niva

What life with Ócsai Niva looks like

Ócsai Niva is a medium-sized young adult staffordshire bull terrier dog waiting at Szent Ferenc Állatotthon.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ócsai Niva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ócsai Niva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Szent Ferenc Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ócsai Niva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ócsai Niva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Szent Ferenc Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ócsai Niva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ócsai Niva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Szent Ferenc Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ócsai Niva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
