Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Ofelia – Playful Young Female Dog Estimated Date of Birth: 01/2026 Shoulder Height: 45 cm (as of 06/16/2026) Spayed: No Gender: Female Origin: Romania Dog’s Current Location: Foster Family Child-Friendly: Yes Cat-Friendly: Not Tested Gets Along with Other Dogs: Yes Disability: No Finding four puppies in a cemetery might sound like the beginning of a ghost story, but for these siblings, it was the start of their happy ending. Left alone among the tombstones, the four puppies were freezing, hungry, and lonely—until a kind passerby discovered them. He called for help and became their beloved foster father for a while. They were rescued just in time and are now safe, healthy, and growing into wonderful young dogs. Although they all started out in the same place, each one has its own unique personality. Ofelia is described by her foster family as an active, playful, lively, and loving puppy/youth dog. She gets along well with the other dogs at her foster home and loves to romp around with her siblings. Ofelia is the kind of young dog who will fill your home with love and joy. Of course, she still has much to learn about the basics of dog behavior in Germany. Her future humans can lovingly teach her all those important things. They should enjoy taking walks through fields and forests. Ofelia would happily be placed as a first dog in a new home, but she could also thrive as an only dog. In that case, however, social interactions with other dogs of her own species should be ensured. The little lady is absolutely adorable, yet she won’t stay tiny forever. She deserves to grow up in a family where she can experience new impressions and gain valuable experiences. That’s why we hope she’ll soon be found and allowed to travel abroad. Who would like to share their life with the sweet Ofelia? Our dogs travel to their new homes vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered (if they’re old enough), and accompanied by their vaccination records. A

About Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin

What life with Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin looks like

Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz La Palma e.V. in Hüllhorst.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz La Palma e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz La Palma e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz La Palma e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ofelia - verspielte Junghündin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
