Oizaa

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 8 years

Oizaa (F) - 8 years - Looking for adopters (BLC W134005172) Adoptable in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands Characteristics Birth date: 18/09/2018 Sex: Female Enrolled in LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Handicaps: No Children's understanding: Teenagers Dog understanding: Yes in the outdoors Cat understanding: No Other understanding: No Oizaa is a kind and affectionate dog who really loves her human. But she has a difficult past and sometimes gets lost in her head and has developed tics. She needs a calm life without stimuli. She has always lived in the countryside. She can cross dogs without a problem but cannot live at home with another dog. She started in a foster home learning the basics of education because she had none and the work will have to continue. She is very afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. During absences, she needs a well-locked kennel for her safety because she can destroy or escape. And of course, a well-fenced yard and a walk on a leash outdoors. She is calm in the car and will be able to carpool to join you. Oizaa has passed from family to family, it is high time to find a loving and secure home that can offer her the life she deserves. BorderlineCollie is a non-profit association. In order to continue our work of welcoming and rehabilitating Border Collies, we ask for a participation in the adoption fees for the dogs we rehome. About Oizaa

What life with Oizaa looks like

Oizaa is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oizaa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oizaa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oizaa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oizaa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oizaa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oizaa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oizaa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
