Olenna Lyanna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

2x female Foundlings/Freigang Born ca. 2021-2023 EKH neutered [x] yes / [] no At the animal shelter since 05.09.2025 ________________________ We test every cat with a quick test for FIV („Cat AIDS“, info here!) and FeLV („Cat Leukemia“, info here!) and clarify their status. We inform here about the risk of FIP („Belly Inflammation“). ________________________ Olenna and Lyanna came to us from Emsdorf with their entire cat family, including their offspring, where they had settled as strays and were unneutered. A large part of the cats have already found homes, but Olenna and Lyanna are still waiting. The two cats are cautious with people and seem to be somewhat inexperienced. Olenna behaves particularly suspiciously and will need time. Lyanna shows more attention and curiosity, but for both – who also understand each other very well and cuddle a lot – it would be conceivable to lead a happy, shared life as well-bred farm cats/outdoor cats after adequate adaptation. They definitely need a shared home, are almost always together, cuddled up, and very familiar with each other. As they are very compatible with other cats, they can also be added to existing cat households. It would be wonderful if they also received loving attention as farm cats and perhaps developed even more trust in people. We hope very much that they will be given a beautiful opportunity for a happy life with freedom and security. ________________________ (As of 26.02.2026) Olenna: Lyanna: (Click the images to see them in full size!) The description gives the current status, but we reserve the right to make changes or new assessments. It can always happen that an animal shows or develops differently due to changed circumstances both here at the animal shelter and in the new home. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Olenna Lyanna

What life with Olenna Lyanna looks like

Olenna Lyanna is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olenna Lyanna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olenna Lyanna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olenna Lyanna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olenna Lyanna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Olenna Lyanna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olenna Lyanna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olenna Lyanna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
