Ondra

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Ondra has found her home! Her story: Ondra is a sweet little mouse with white toe tips and a golden shimmer in her soft fur. The handsome young female dog looks into the camera with her wonderful, loyal eyes, as if she knows that her future is at stake. But Ondra is not only beautiful to look at, but also incredibly loving and friendly. She enjoys every bit of affection and is very happy to be petted. Currently, Ondra has a shoulder height of about 50 cm and weighs around 21 kg. Her future owners should be prepared for the fact that she will grow into a medium to large female dog. She gets along well with cats, other dogs, and horses from the start. Ondra loves being on the farm with the horses, playing with her dog friends, and exploring. She stays with her primary caregiver, is always friendly here, and has already built a good trust with the people around her. She loves new adventures, but finds the same routes boring. She is already house-trained after a short time. Even the walks on the leash work surprisingly well; she is very eager to learn and open to everything. At the moment, Ondra is simply a wonderful and sweet puppy that longs for love and attention. But her puberty will not be far off, and this is also a time when loving and consistent training must be worked on with all dogs. We recommend that Ondra work with a positively trained dog class. Patient and loving training, regular contact with fellow animals, and many positive experiences with her people will promote her development and strengthen the bond with her trusted people. Originally, the little dog girl was found together with her sister Addy and their mother Kalani on a farm in Bistrita. There, they lived together with another female dog and her four puppies. Has Ondra won your heart? Would you like to give her a forever home? Thank you, Michael S.! You named Ondra. Status: 10.06. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vielen Dank Michael S.! Du hast Ondra ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 10.06.2024

About Ondra

What life with Ondra looks like

Ondra is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ondra, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ondra?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ondra on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ondra if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ondra already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ondra isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ondra and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
