Dit is Orbit! Orbit werd in juli 2026 op straat gevonden nadat hij was aangereden door een auto. Hij had ernstig hoofdletsel, wat leidde tot blindheid, doofheid en neurologische problemen (ronddraaien). Na een behandeling met steroïden en sondevoeding is hij goed hersteld. Zijn zicht is helaas blijvend beschadigd, maar zijn gehoor is niet gericht (of gefocust). Hij loopt en speelt als elke ‘normale’ kat, maar als hij gestrest is, kan hij rondjes gaan lopen. Los van zijn neurologische afwijking is hij een kerngezonde kat. Soms is zijn rechter oogje wat waterig en kan hij gedurende de dag één traan produceren. Dit is het gevolg van verzwakte oogspieren na het ongeluk: niets om je zorgen over te maken. Orbit is een lieve, blinde kat, vol leven en vrolijkheid. Hij heeft een zachtaardig en aanhankelijk karakter. Hij heeft een veilige en stabiele omgeving nodig om te groeien en te genieten. Om zich aan te passen, raakt hij in het begin graag dingen aan om meer te leren over zijn baasjes en de omgeving. Hij leert graag nieuwe dingen. Als hij gestrest is, kan hij rondjes lopen. Hem aanraken zorgt er dan meteen voor dat hij zich beter voelt. Als hij zich onzeker voelt, houdt hij ervan om met zijn voorpoten de vingers en hand van zijn baasje(s) vast te pakken. Orbit houdt van knuffelen. Hij is erg knuffelig. Hij houdt van zich ontspannen in een mandje en geniet graag van een dutje. Hij kan worden opgetild. Hij zit liever naast zijn verzorgsters dan op schoot. Hij is geschikt voor een gezin met lieve kinderen die weten hoe je met katten moet omgaan. Orbit is speels. Hij speelt graag met kattenspeelgoed.
