Adopt Oriana

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

About 6 months old (born around November 2025) about 42 cm (growing; becoming medium to large) female, not neutered STILL IN POLAND, Boguszyce Oriana – sensitive observer with a big heart 🐾💛 Oriana is a sensitive, shy puppy girl who prefers to keep a bit of distance at first and observe the world around her in peace. She is not a puppy who immediately jumps joyfully into strangers' arms – but with empathy and loving affection, she will gradually open her heart. She therefore needs time, patience, and a gentle guidance to build trust with new people. Oriana came to the animal shelter together with her four siblings. The little puppies wandered around near a barn, and fortunately, the farmer called for help and supported the animal shelter team in safely capturing all five. We assume that the puppies will grow to be medium to large (their parents could not be found). From the start, they have fit into pack life wonderfully and get along well with other dogs. For Oriana, we wish for a home with a confident and friendly only dog. This would surely help her learn that the world is not so daunting. Behind her reserved nature hides a sensitive, loving soul, waiting to be discovered by the right people and to flourish in a safe home. Have patience, empathy, and a big heart – and become Oriana's favorite person 💞 Puppies: Castration is mandatory for puppies.

About Oriana

What life with Oriana looks like

Oriana is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at home4dogs in Home4dogs.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oriana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oriana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. home4dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oriana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oriana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — home4dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oriana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oriana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with home4dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oriana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
