Adopt Oskar og Oliver

Male

Ready for a quiet home together. They are located in Smørum. Both are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and eared. They come with a health book and food for the first period in their new home. Total price kr. 3000,- In addition, it is recommended to take out a health insurance - for example through TrygFormidler: Joan Andersen - contact via For consideration for one of our cats, you must submit an application and tell who you are, what you can offer the cat, and state who is in the family (children/age, other animals/which ones). Note that our cats are generally only placed as indoor cats (kept on their own territory), unless otherwise stated in the description. In addition, you must specify your address and phone number. We review all written inquiries that meet the above and will respond. Oskar (black) and Oliver (black and white) are brothers from autumn 2024. They were born outside, but taken into care as kittens and socialized. Foster mother writes 11/2-26: Things are going very well with Oskar og Oliver. They are now in the whole house, just as used to home as our own cats. They are very talkative and call us often when they want to be petted or play. Both are very affectionate and seeking contact now, but can be easily frightened by sudden and quick movements and noises. We can still pick up Oskar, so it's easy to get to him. Oliver absolutely does not want to be picked up. They have both layed in our bed and waited for us. They will make good sofa cats, but it would probably go a bit faster if they had a family where they don't have to share their humans and sofa spots with other cats. They still need to be together, as they are very happy with each other. without contact with people. Now they are both very affectionate, curious and playful towards foster mother and father. They are also curious about strangers, but Oliver is not yet ready for guests to pet him. It is Oskar who is quite ready for that. They are only placed as indoor cats - but preferably to a home with outdoor access in a cat-safe garden/terrace or a cattery. Send an email to Joan if you can offer the boys a great home together or fill out the form if needed.

About Oskar og Oliver

What life with Oskar og Oliver looks like

Oskar og Oliver is a adult cat waiting at Nordsjællands Kattehjælp in Denmark.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oskar og Oliver, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oskar og Oliver?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nordsjællands Kattehjælp handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oskar og Oliver on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oskar og Oliver if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nordsjællands Kattehjælp will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oskar og Oliver already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oskar og Oliver isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nordsjællands Kattehjælp early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oskar og Oliver and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
