Adopt Oslow

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

Attention, authentic husky approaching! My name is Oslow, a Siberian Husky born on May 15, 2018... and a real one! I'm a clown, clever, independent, and a bit of a trickster: I proudly carry the reputation of my breed 🐾😄 I am a very kind dog with humans, okay with children, not really a cuddle bug but I love comfort: sofa, bed, cushions... if it's soft, it's approved ✔️ I also know how to enjoy the calm at home after good walks. I am a family dog, but a dog that must be earned: smart, sporting just the right amount, and always up for adventures with my humans. My story starts with an abandonment. I was left tied in a garden, without explanation, without a clear future... Fortunately, BAB intervened and took me in 🤍 Thanks to them, I could be safe and learn that not all humans abandon me. I then joined a foster home, where I could settle down, progress, learn to live in a stable environment and discover a real dog's life: walks, activities, comfort and daily routines. Today, my heart is heavy... My girlfriend has gone to join the stars ⭐ and since then I have been struggling very hard with her absence. I am alone now, and this loneliness weighs heavily on me. I need presence, landmarks... and especially a girlfriend. Being with another dog is essential for me: I can't thrive without another female by my side.👉 So I'm looking for a lifelong family, with a girlfriend already present in the household. A gentle, patient, and reassuring family who will understand, secure, and love me as I am. I'm ready to offer all my love... but I can't do it alone. 💛🐶 I'm looking for a family: present, involved, and aware of what a husky entails. A home with a girlfriend already present, preferably active, loving walks and activities (hikes, cani-cross, cani-VTT, canoe... I love it!) but don't worry: you don't need 5 hours of hike per day. Quiet walks plus rest at home suit me very well too. A house with an ultra-secure fence, ideally with walls several meters high or an apartment. Some little information about me: I have a good recall, but freedom must remain very controlled. I am very motivated by treats and the clicker. I know: sit, lie down, shake, pose, turn. I wait before eating. In terms of interactions, I get along well with other dogs of the same species, whether small or large. Females are no problem. However, cohabitation with an intact male is not possible. With a castrated male, a prior meeting will be necessary to check that the interaction works, ideally with a dog smaller than me. Regarding other animals, I am not compatible with cats, small animals or farm animals. However, I get along well with horses. With humans, everything goes very well: I am a very kind dog and I am also okay with children. 🍼 Date of birth: 15/05/2018🐶 Breed: Siberian Husky💡 Identified (no. 250 26 98 02 68 34 91), vaccinated, spayed📍 Location: 42✅ To adopt me, we will ask you for a contribution of 250 €. About Oslow

What life with Oslow looks like

Oslow is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Brigade Animale Bénévole in brigade animale benevole.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oslow, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oslow?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Brigade Animale Bénévole handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oslow on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oslow if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Brigade Animale Bénévole will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oslow already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oslow isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Brigade Animale Bénévole early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oslow and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
