Adopt Otitis (Sos)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 7 months

I am Otitis, I am 7 months old. I was found in the street in Roubaix, with my little head tilted to the side, as if I was always wondering: "Huh? What did you say?" Humans think I had an AVC. Why? Mystery… accident, abuse, poisoning, birth defect… I can’t tell them. I am affected by persistent ataxia with hyperexcitability, loss of balance. What I can tell you is that since then, my head remains tilted to the left and sometimes I have a bit of trouble turning correctly. It gives me an original gait… let’s say I have my own style. At first, I was very afraid of everything. And honestly, you can understand me. But I’m making huge progress every day. I observe a lot. I reflect. I approach slowly. And especially… I love other cats. With them, I feel reassured. They are a bit my guides, my big brothers, my role models. When a cat friend says: "See, that human over there is nice," then I also dare to advance a little. I am still timid with humans, but my curiosity is stronger than my fear. I love watching what they do, following them discreetly, coming to smell a hand… then retreating like a little mustachioed spy. My dream family: A calm, gentle, and patient home without young children, where they will let me advance at my own pace. A house with one or more gentle cats would be paradise for me. I don’t need someone to ask me to be a perfect cat. I just need someone to love me as I am: a little cat scarred by life, but who is slowly learning to trust again. And between us… my tilted head gives me an incredibly charming look. Your profile interests me, and you wish to meet me? Contact LPA-NF in Lille at .

J’observe beaucoup.

About Otitis (Sos)

What life with Otitis (Sos) looks like

Otitis (Sos) is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at LPA Nord de la France in Lille.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Otitis (Sos), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Otitis (Sos)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. LPA Nord de la France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Otitis (Sos) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Otitis (Sos) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — LPA Nord de la France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Otitis (Sos) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Otitis (Sos) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with LPA Nord de la France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Otitis (Sos) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
